CREST Award Club KS2
At St. George's School we run a Key Stage 2 Crest Award Club.
CREST is a scheme that inspires young people to think and behave like scientists and engineers.
The children take part in weekly STEM activities and once they have completed 8 of these they are awarded a certificate and a badge.
Making Cheese
One of our STEM activities was to make our own cheese using milk.
A sticky situation!
We used different materials and mixed these together to make our own glue!
We used flour, vinegar, cornflour, water and bicarbonate of soda.
We have been preparing for the lack of pritt-sticks in school!
