Year 4 parent letters
Here you can find out what he will be learning during this current half term. We have some great experiences and activities planned for the children and cannot wait to teach them!
Every month we run a TTRS tournament for Classes 13, 14 and 15. The class with the most points at the end of the month is awarded a certificate and the option of extra playtime!
Spellings
The children are given a weekly set of spellings to learn at home.
These are embedded into our writing throughout the week and children are encouraged to use these within their own writing.
Spellings are to be returned to school on a Monday morning with proof that the children have practised these.
Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check
In June the children in Year 4 will take part in the Multiplication Tables Check. This is a great way for teachers to identify any gaps in the children's multiplication knowledge before they move up to Year 5.
The check is 25 questions and the children will have 6 seconds to answer each question. More information can be pound in the PowerPoint and leaflet below.
The best resource to support children with the Multiplication Tables Check is Times Table Rockstars. Children should access the Soundcheck on TTRS daily to practise.
